The box of the Xperia Ion is similar to those Xperia smartphones too, but its more thinner and wider.
What you can find inside the box is the Xperia Ion itself, a
wall charger, USB data cable, earphones, some extra earphone buds, and a lot of
paper(guides). Its sad to see that HDMI cable and some Xperia SmartTags is not
present in the box of the Xperia Ion.
On the front part of the Xperia Ion you can find the 4.6
scratch resistant display, front facing camera at the upper right of the phone and
the 4 capacitive touch buttons at the button part of the phone.
The only thing that can you see at the left part of the
phone is the HDMI cable port and the micro USB port in the same cap.
You can find the power/sleep button, the volume rocker and the
shutter button at the right side of the phone.
The 3.5mm headset jack is located at the top of the phone.
At the button of the phone, you can find the microphone.
The back f the phone is made from aluminium. you’ll find
here the 12.1MP with Exmor R sensor, single LED flash and the speaker. The aluminium
surface of the phone makes it more prone to finger prints.
There is no access to the phone’s battery, but you can
remove the top cover of the back of the phone to gain access on the micro SIM
slot and the microSD slot.
Comparing it to the Sony Xperia S, it seems that the Xperia
Ion is more catchy because of the 4.6” screen(face palm to the transparent
strip of the Xperia S).
Comparing the back of the 2 smartphones the Xperia S is more
neat than the finger print magnet back of the Xperia Ion.
The Sony Xperia Ion runs on Android 4.0 ICS.
Stay tuned for more Sony Xperia Ion updates.
